Quality Manager

Randstad Defence is partnering with an engineering and manufacturing company that supplies the defence sector. They are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join their team.

About the Role

As the Quality Manager, you will lead the quality department and ensure all products and services are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards. Because this is a senior position, you will be trusted to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Run the company's Quality Management System and handle both internal and external audits.
• Make sure everything stays compliant with ISO9001 and AS9100D standards.
• Sort out any quality issues that come up with suppliers or customers and find practical solutions.
• Keep accurate records for export controls and customer quality agreements.
• Look after the control of technical documents like drawings, test instructions, and permits.
• Manage APQP processes and oversee incoming goods inspections.
• Provide quality input on commercial bids and manage the calibration equipment.

About you:

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar quality role.
• You must have a Lead Auditor qualification.
• Solid experience working with ISO9001 and/or AS9100D standards.
• Experience dealing with audits, non-conformances, and fixing quality issues.
• Previous experience managing a small team.
• Good computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office.
• Eligible to get an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
